We walked through the Jardin de Tuleries. It was a beautiful day so we decided to play around with the camera.
We did stag jumps near fountains.
Ericka did some yoga.
And tried a stag.
We then walked to Palais Garnier. There was no tour and it was €10 but since I'd already taken the tour, I became the guide. We got to see everything that I saw last time and I was actually able to wander a bit more. I even got Ericka to pose like Phantom of the Opera with me. Yeah roomie!
We couldn't rum rampant in the foyer because it was set up for a wedding! Seriously?! OMG if I could've had my reception here?! I think I'd die. It would also be way too expensive.
The main entrance and stairway is SO big!
After Palais Garnier, it was off to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees, though when we got there, a huge ceremony celebrating firefighters (pompiers) was going on and we weren't allowed to enter the Arc until 5(which we learned later was a lie and was really not until 8) SO instead we did selfies.
And no, not the selfies where you take 100 and photoshop them. No, maybe 5 total. Check out the photo bomb! Lame.
There were hundred of firefighters and axes on the Champs Elysees today. We didn't have to worry about a fire.
We got some ice cream from Jeff de Bruges so Ericka was finally able to get her pistachio ice cream, as easily as a chocolate or vanilla ice cream in the states. I got strawberry (typical) and it was delish!
Damn firefighters!
For dinner we made our way to Montmartre for the Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge.
Aside from the overly aggressive men in heat in this park, it was great.
We found a fondue restaurant (filled with tourists) that was highly recommended by Sacha's brother so we went. The waiters don't hand you a menu. Rather, they ask "fondue ou viande." We got both. They then ask "rouge ou blanc" and bring out your fondue types, followed by your wine in baby bottles. Ericka dug that; Aaron not so much.
What a feast!
Ericka has quite the young heart so this was right up her alley. Aaron wanted a big boy cup!
And this was also Ericka's first time ever eating cheese fondue. I think she liked it.
Bottle buds 4 life!
After dinner, we trekked over to Moulin Rouge with Trixie for a photo op. We stood over the grates in front and had to hold down my dress. Trixie was not a fan of the wind!
We also met a group of 5 people next to us at dinner and we walked with them around Montmartre.
