Our first visitor

Today we went to class (it's Friday) and it was Aaron's last day with his teacher John (with the crazy hairy knuckles). We rushed back via velib to the house to see Allison there! Allison is a dear friend from NYC who I know through the swing dancing community! She'll be staying with us for 2 nights. We took her out for lunch to Creperie Imogene, the freakin' cutest creperie in the 11th with the nicest waiter, Olivier. (He's constantly busting my balls for not finishing my lunch crepe and then wanting a dessert crepe) For €9.70, you get a coke, 2 crepes, and a salad. Can't beat that!
These were the cute little pick up line sugars at the table. Olivier also taught me how to write my favorite french saying "aimable comme une porte de prison."
Delicious savory crepe. I've never liked the savory crepe idea because I thought you were only supposed to get one crepe. The fact that I get two at this place is golden!
We went to the pet store and bought Trixie a piggy that makes a low squeak and she's been playing with it non stop since we brought it home. Favorite new toy? We had our first low key dinner, but it was a super tasty chinese restaurant about 10 minutes' walk from our house. It was not only our first, but also Allison's first chinese food since moving to France! The hand pulled noodles were so good. On our walk home, we had an aperitif at our corner bar which every friday plays live jazz. How nice. Trixie came out with us and gave us a nice drum solo on my lap.
