Dotty in Lyon

This morning we actually slept in, I showered with actual water pressure, and I finally got clean hair. Sigh, you can't have everything in Paris. We got breakfast at the street market because almost everything is closed on Sundays. Pivoines in full bloom, sausage and cheese for sampling (Aaron complained because he had camembert smell on his fingers all day) and all the fresh fruit and veggies you could carry.
I even was all "country" and ate a peach right off the cart without washing it off. If I stop writing this blog, you know that I got some crazy french disease and died.
We met Dotty, her husband Eric, and their 2 year old boy Maxcance at the Hotel de Ville for lunch. Max had a lot of fun running up and down the alley way, nearly running around the corner, but Eric is a fast runner. We spoke nearly the whole lunch in french. Yeah, us! After lunch, we headed to Parc de tete d'or, a park that allows dogs and has a huge zoo inside for free.

Trixie finally got to go to her first zoo! The monkey noises made her heart race. Check out the giraffe. Since we got there late, we didn't get to see any other animals.
We took the train back to Paris and found a crazy spicy szechwan place. Aaron was sweating and I actually ate stuff. Go me!
