Versailles and the Seine

Today we met up with my cousin Lauren, her boyfriend, and her friend to make the trek out to Versailles. I was shocked to hear that none of the people on our trip had ever watched Marie Antoinette. I hope that this trip has sparked some fire to get them watching it. Aaron came with Trixie but seeing as she's a dog, they could only enter the gardens....(which we found out later is not true. She can enter the PARK which is next to the gardens)
We didn't do the audio tour so we zipped through and I still feel like we didn't see everything.
I love this lion. He was just on a wall.
And don't forget that there are chandeliers in every room. Every ceiling is painted and has frames.
Hall of mirrors was of course, crowded.
Look at all the people. Too many. I don't think you'd ever be able to get a shot without people in it unless you came first!
 I would love this bed.
We didn't spend that much time in the house. I felt like most people wanted to book it for lunch and be in the gardens, though when we were there, I didn't feel like we didn't much searching for fountains.
A lot of the statues that I remember from last time, I couldn't find.
Took a shot with the cousin for the grandparents!
At the petit trianon, they had massive amounts of fish.
Water lily pond similar to Monet's house.
The fountains were turned on after lunch so we booked it all the way from the petit trianon back to the gardens. We only saw this one and the fountains closer to the exit.
The canal was bustling with boats and people. Trixie and Aaron walked a good deal of the canal. Next time, we'll show up earlier and without people who don't appreciate Versailles for what it is.
After we returned to Paris, we broke off from my cousin's group and took a boat cruise! Finally! After 5 years of wanting to take one, we finally did. Bought the tickets online and saved a lot of money too.
We went by all the major sights. Musee D'Orsay, Louvre, and some of the most beautiful bridges of Paris.
 Eiffel tower shining during Twilight.
I wonder if the lights change as often as the lights on the Empire State Building.
Seeing the sights at twilight and even dark was amazing. I've only ever seen them during the day. Everything has a spot light so you can still get shots at night. The boat has super bright lights on the sides so you can see the edges of the Seine.
Near the Notre Dame is the "most romantic bridge in Paris" as well as another bridge deemed "the most dangerous bridge". For the first, you kiss your loved one under the bridge while wishing something and it's sure to come true. The dangerous bridge has fallen 11 times since it was built. Yikes.
